My research focuses on advancing user modeling and recommender systems through the integration of machine learning and natural language processing. I develop approaches that enhance personalization and explainability in systems powered by machine learning models. I also study navigation and point-of-interest recommender systems, incorporating contextual factors such as travel behavior and environmental conditions to improve decision-making and user experience. My research combines methodological innovation with real-world applications, including social good and decision support.
